First Look at Man of Steel Young Superman

Hey Movie Nerds, Austin again.  It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a pip-squeak.  The first image of Dylan Sprayberry as the younger version of Clark Kent from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has hit the net.  Dyan on the right in the picture above is standing next to a couple of kids that will be Clark’s Smallville friends.  Doesn’t Dylan kind of look like Tom Welling from the TV series Smallville?

New Total Recall Trailer

Hey Movie Nerds, Austin here.  Another trailer for Len Wiseman’s take on Total Recall.  Sure the new Total Recall trailer offers tons of action, and could potentially pull off a solid movie, but I love Arnold’s Total Recall.  I’m just a little worried that this movie will be tons of special effects, and miss the charm of adventure Arnold’s Total Recall had in abundance.  Also where is Mars?  I haven’t scene anything in the trailers, the photos and I’m not even sure if I’ve heard the word Mars mentioned once?  Though I did chuckle when the new Total Recall trailer offeeds a nod at the famous “3 Boob” scene.  I really hope this Total Recall rocks, but I guess we’ll have to wait till August 3rd to find out.
Take a look at the new Total Recall trailer below and tell me what you think in the comments below!

Starship Troopers Remake

Hey Movie Nerds, Austin here.  It’s been known for awhile that Robert A. Heinlein’s 1959 sci-fi novel didn’t get a faithful adaption to the big screen with the first movie that came out in the 1990s, even though it was rather cool in and of itself.  But don’t worry purists there will be a Starship Troopers remake.
In a recent interview with Empire producer Toby Jaffe explains the approach the cast and crew will be taking for the new Starship Troopers remake,

Back to the Future Joke

The web was rife with Back to the Future day yesterday as a picture circulated of the dashboard of the DeLorean, which implied the date that Marty McFly and Doc go forward in time was June 27 2012.
But the actual date chosen by Doc (Christopher Lloyd) in the 1985 sci-fi film was October 21 2015.

Big New Marvel Movie Announced

Hey Movie Nerds, Austin here.  The big movie news announced awhile back was Marvel had a movie up its sleeve for 2014, and they weren’t going to tell.  Well enough time has passed and today Marvel has officially announced that the long rumored Guardians of the Galaxy movie is coming.  This isn’t too surprising because over the last few days I’ve been watching Marvel file for 11 new trademark applications for something big, so I knew it was coming, but I didn’t know just what.

National Geographic, which, considering the precise purview implied in their title, you’d think wouldn’t bee to concerned with this, have run an extensive poll trying to figure out what Americans think of alien life, UFOs, and the proper personal and governmental response to an alien visitation.

New Riddick Movie Photo

Hey Movie Nerds, Austin again.  I’m super excited about the new Riddick Movie, it’s not too often Hollywood is brave enough to continue a Sci-Fi franchise when it is not based on a book or pre-existing tv show or movie.  So last night  Vin Diesel posted on his Facebook a new picture from the movie and an update,

Batman: Earth One

Hey Super Nerds, there’s a brand new Batman graphic novel!  Cheer!  Jump about!  Do the happy dance!  Okay, and now calm down.
Writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank set their graphic novel purposefully in a parallel universe (Earth One rather than Earth Zero, the same world as the earlier Superman : Earth One) so they could mess with the story a bit without disturbing anyone else.
