The series' first episodes will involve a group of bandits acquiring the capability of time travel, and using it to travel back in time to stop Darth Vader from ever existing.....
Want to see Star Wars Episode 1 in 3D, or how about the Avengers? Well now you can in cool new 3D shades, and the whole theater can listen to your kids fight over the Iron Man and Thor glasses......IT'S MY TURN!Sorry that was just me fighting with my kids over the glasses. I really shouldn't blame it on them.
The new Green Arrow has been found. Stephen Amell will play Oliver Queen in the Green Arrow Spin-off pilot. If you don't recognize this Canadian born actor try The Vampire Diaries, Hung and Private Practice.
Now every Comic Nerd knows why Bane wears a mask, Venom. That juice that makes a big man, even bigger. Well the UKPA managed to get a few words in with Hardy about taking on the iconic comic book villain, Bane.
The first GI Joe movie sucked if we're going to be honest with one another. It felt like a giant toy commercial. So when GI Joe star Channing Tatum says GI Joe Retaliation will be better, I don't think that's saying too much.
With Wii-U coming out later this year, and our first glimpse of the XBox 720 more than likely around the time Wii-U is released, gamers are left asking, "What about PS4?" Well it seems Sony has something to say.
Imagine if World of Warcraft: The Mists of Pandaria actually released this Summer. Imagine if they continued down the road where there is no common enemy at the heart of the story. Imagine if Blizzard gave us what they promised, more focus on the conflict between the factions. Now, just follow me for a second here. Imagine if they also introduced a third faction.
Matthew Vaughn, who director "X-Men: First Class" will get to do it again. That's right an "X-Men: First Class" sequel is in officially in the works. Does that mean we need to call it X-Men: Second Class? Sorry bad joke.
When Christopher Nolan cast Joseph Gordon-Levitt in "The Dark Knight Rises", the Nerd world just immediately responded by asking the question, "Is this Robin?"
If your anything like me you don't have the money to pump into everything that is cool, and for me that includes Anime. But luckily some of us have Netflix, which has done an awesome job of expanding their Anime selection. The best part about Netflix's Anime collection is that thousands of people are being introduced to Anime for the first time.About 2 weeks ago I asked you to watch Samurai 7 with me on Netflix. For those who took the journey with me, thanks! For those who didn't that's fine, maybe next time. But was Samurai 7 worth 2 weeks?
In a chat with Hero Complex, actor Andy Serkis known to Super Nerds as Gollum, and recently Caesar in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes talked about returning to the roll that made him famous.
The Times of India spoke with Spider-Man/Peter Park Andrew Garfield of Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man TI: Since you've been a fan yourself, did that make it any easy to get into the skin of the character?AG:It helped that I had been following the whole Spiderman story for so long. But I realized that if I started identifying myself too much with the character, I'll lose touch with reality. As I said, it's very complicated (laughs).
Here we have a behind the scene picture of Tom Hardy aka Bane, with his mask off. Though we don't see his front, we see some cool scars on his neck and the top right part of his skull. From other pictures of Bane with his mask on we don't see scars, at least from what I can tell. So wonder if that's reason he wears a mask in Nolan's Batman.
The battle between Star Wars and Star Trek has heated up over the last few months thanks to William Shatner, Carrie Fisher and George Takei. But now the battle includes Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart, but on a different level.
I love when Super Nerds find some random bit of awesomeness and turn it into a world record. For example the most video game consoles played in a minute.
Mario Kart came out during the end of the Super Nintendo, and it certainly extended its lifespan. Check out this awesome fan made real life version of Mario Kart:
When Kill Bill hit the theaters it was questionable if US audiences would enjoy a traditional Martial Art revenge movie. Well if you give American audiences fight scenes like these....than the answer is yes.
Recreating physical things in the digital world is nothing new. We’ve been doing it, and getting better at it, for the past several decades. We’ve seen tons of different methods of recreating something here as a believable digital something there, from basic CGI to emerging tech like the insane facial-recognition software used for the game L.A. Noire. None of them, however, have been quite as cool as the OrcaM reconstruction sphere. This is some straight-up Tron shit right here.
So the first time I heard the word Multiverse was actually from the Chronicles of Riddick. But the Multiverse the idea that multiple universes exist, with multiple copies of you and I sure seems like an idea for a Sci-Fi book. Well according to PopSci scientists are experimenting with neutrons jumping from universe to universe. The notion of multiple universes is one that cosmologists like to theorize about but generally don’t relish proving, mainly because doing so would be very difficult. But a team of researchers that showed a few years ago how matter might travel between our universe and others now think they ought to be able to observe this phenomenon in action using existing technology, lendingcredence to the multiverse theory. All they need is a neutron bottle, some neutrons, and a year.
A PLANET is evaporating......awesome! Austin-New Scientist has the details, A rocky exoplanet about the size of Mercury appears to be evaporating before our eyes. If confirmed, this would be the first time a rocky planet has been found turning to gas, demonstrating just how wacky alien planets can be. The provocative suggestion may also foreshadow the fate of Mercury.
Space garbage is bad....MMmKay, so if you knew it or not the Sun helped us out a few days ago. With small increases in solar radiation hitting earth, our space garbage is getting hit out of orbit. Don't worry we're OK, it's not like a Death Star hanging over Alderaan or anything. NewScientist has the details,It turns out that increased solar activity in recent years has removed some of the satellite debris that clogs this region, making it temporarily safer for other satellites and astronauts.
All Super Nerds are merely waiting for the Robots to rise up and take over the world...hehe. That is why we're reading this article isn't it....hehehe.Anyways New Scientist has a cool article about Robots becoming more lifelike, FROM robotic slug-killers to dancing humanoids, there's a lot of media buzz around robots. But the roboticists behind such ventures need a serious reality check. As a founder of iRobot Corporation, based in Bedford, Massachusetts, and CEO of robotics start-up CyPhy Works, it's clear to me that merely engineering "cool" robots does little to advance the field. If robotics is to succeed like computing, what matters is making practical robots that do jobs well and affordably - factors that tend to get lost as people fascinate over the latest autonomous party pieces.
My fellow Super Nerds for you I have a super preview of Batwing #6, Uncanny X-Fore 21, Venom #13 Circle of Four, X-Club, and X-Factor #231Just for you....Just for you....because you're awesome!
Final Fantasy XIII-2 proves itself the better game, but it lacks the same focused storytelling employed in the original. It benefits from an improved battle system, open environments, and an overall level of polish that deserves a nod of respect.Despite its severe lack of closure, Final Fantasy XIII-2 still deserves your time, especially for a few poignant moments set at the end of days.
Do you like Martial Art movies? Or do you just want to see a sweet fight scene? Make sure to go to www.iamasupernerd.com because every day is a new NINJA FIGHT!
Christian Bale sat and talked with the NY Daily Newsabout the Batman legacy. Below are some highlights,Would he play Batman again "We need different rhythms in our life, don’t we, and to me it would be the wrong rhythm to jump into a franchise at this point. For now, no, I’d be looking for new experiences."The greatness of Batman: "I had never been someone into comic books, it just didn’t interest me. It wasn’t my thing. [After reading BATMAN: YEAR ONE], I found Batman has so many issues, he’s not a healthy individual, this is somebody that is doing good, but he’s right on the verge of doing bad. He’s got that killer within him that he’s desperately not trying to let off his leash."
With Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace hitting theaters in 3D Feb. 10,2012
Collider received an exclusive "deleted deleted scene." Or in other words a deleted story board lightsaberscene between Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and some Battle Droids. While Episdoe I was in pre -production artists pitched fight scenes, and this particular scene was developed by story board artist Ed Natividad.

CraveOnline spoke with Dexter star Michael C. Hall about his fight with Cancer to the end of Dexter. Below are some highlights,
It wasn’t that long ago that you were literally fighting for your life. Now, less than two years later, you can sit down and talk about a trip halfway around the world. What does that personal journey feel like now?Michael C. Hall: Whether it’s traveling to New Zealand, or shooting Dexter or walking through Central Park on a pleasant afternoon, the experience of facing a life threatening illness and successfully going through treatment has been an invitation to a greater sense of gratitude for me – for any moment I have. And I continue to be blessed with some pretty great moments.
Yahoo Movies has shown the world a new picture from Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit." The film which has the Nerd world on the edge of their seats will debut Dec. 14, 2012!!! WHY SO LONG!!!!
Am I the only one more excited for "The Hobbit" coming to theaters than the "Lord of the Rings" movies?Austin-
So Nickelodeon is still staying quiet about the official premiere date of
Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel "Legend of Korra." But we do know for fact it will come out this year. I personally have a feeling it will come out in fall. But we have a new clip to go with the other ones. I personally don't know what to think of this new series. I mean I don't want super high expectations, and than be disappointed, but at the same time I want to be excited! So what do I do?Austin-
Sackhoff, who cemented herself into sci-fi history as the cigar-chomping, bar-brawling, viper-flying Starbuck, is locking in a
deal to play Dahl, a Nordic mercenary on the hunt for Richard B. Riddick.
The actress was rumoured as being involved as far back as November last year, along with Bokeem Woodbine and Dave Bautista, but the casting process was put on hold when the finances looked a little wobbly and production on the new film was briefly shut down. Things seem to be fully back on track now, and we expect the others to sign on shortly, assuming they haven’t had to move on to other projects. They’ll all join Diesel and Karl Urban, who is reprising his role as Necromonger Vaako. With David Twohy back on writing and directing duties,Riddick (or whatever it ends up being called) should be out either later this year or mid 2013.
Remember the Battlestar Galactica spin-off? No, not Caprica, the other one. We’re talking about Blood & Chrome, which would explore the oft-discussed but seldom-seen original Cylon war, and would focus on a young fighter pilot named William Adama (played by Luke Pasqualino). We know a pilot was shot, but the last we heard of the series was back in August, when Syfy exec Mark Stern said that they weren’t even sure if the series would actually air on the network, or whether it might end up as aweb series. That wasn’t exactly encouraging news, and the long silence might have lead some to assume the project was dead and buried. Not so, according to Stern, who gave a brief update on the project during the Television Critics Association press tour, as reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Of course, just because it’s alive doesn’t mean we’ll actually see it anytime soon.According to Stern, the lack of updates owes simply to two factors: Syfy’s ongoing efforts to figure out how to make the production work in an affordable way, and the large amount of post-production required. That latter element is because the pilot was shot almost entirely on green screen. Because of all the post-production work required, Syfy executives didn’t even see a cut of the pilot until this past November. As Stern explains:We’re applying this idea of virtual sets on a whole new level. We took photos and digitized all the ‘Battlestar Galactica’ sets before we struck them. So when you see two actors walking down a hallway, they’re [really] walking down a green hallway and then we put photo-real shots of hallways and CIC and all the sets we had behind them.
HorrorHound Magazine corespondent (via Paranormal Pop Culture), "Being Human" star Sam Witwer revealed that he was originally slatted to appear in AMC's "The Walking Dead" during a flashback story that would have chronicled the Fall of Atlanta to the overwhelming horde of Walkers that would have come full circle with Witwer's cameo appearance as the tank zombie in the pilot episode.
However, former "Walking Dead" showrunner Frank Darabont has come forward to say that he intended to us the story described by Sam as the second season opener instead of a potential web series as mentioned in the earlier report.
In a lengthy letter to Ain't It Cool News (Via <a href="http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/01/09/frank-darabont-walking-dead-season-2-plan/
What every Super Nerd's living room needs is a giant NES controller right? Mail Online got the scoop,The world's largest video game controller, 30 times the size of a standard joypad, was unveiled today as one of the wackier winners in the new Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition. The fully working device, which is an oversized replica of the pads on Nintendo's iconic NES console, was on display at Liverpool St Station, London. If you wanted to use it like a standard handheld pad, you would need to be 51m (167ft) tall – the same height as London landmark Nelson’s Column. The pad, created by a team of students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, went on display to promote the Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer’s Edition.British engineering student Ben Allen, 23, was one of the three who built the device as apart of a university project.Mr Allen said: 'This is really a labour of love. Space Nazis.....that's right.....they're coming to get ya! Iron Sky has been in development for what seems like ages, but it's finally done. This movie is kind of a weird strange mix between 300's look and war of the worlds. So keep your eyes on the sky because you never know when a Nazi will land in your back yard!Austin-
